Some students in Mr. King’s 6th grade science classes recently worked on Solar System Planet Projects where they researched a planet and completed a poster that displayed some interesting facts, temperature of the planet, distance from the sun, and the composition of the planet. They also completed a scale-model of the solar system in their interactive notebooks that included facts for all of the planets.
Additionally, they created Planet Dioramas of their own new planets giving them a name and theme, their own information on location, planet composition, planet resources, and resources for energy for organisms that live there.
These are great, creative ways to learn about our solar system!
See the Facebook post for more examples!
